What attracted me to this teapot was primarily its size. It's one of the few 48 ounce pots around. The design is quite good, classic, romantic and a favorite of Martha Stewart. However, I'm not impressed with the execution of the somewhat gold smear over the berry and thread. For a Jaliska, made in Portugal, I was expecting a much cleaner, exact overlay of the gold instead of the rather smeared, random look. My wife, for whom I bought the teapot, loves it. And I guess that's all that matters.

This is a wonderful pitcher. A good heavy piece of crystal and matches my crystal water glasses very well (the Marquis ones bought here on Amazon) The size is perfect for a family meal and cuts are done nicely (even if done by a machine in China.) I especially like that the top has been smoothed and rounded instead of being kept in a blunt cut. They only regret I have is that is was made in China. Had I known that before I bought it, would I NOT have bought it?? I doubt it because it is such a beautiful pitcher -- even it is so not PC. I apologize to our out of work Americans.
