This Paula Deen dinnerware set is nice enough for every day use, not for anything fancy. The design is pretty, but to be honest, it looks nicer in the picture on the monitor. The blue flowers are sort of raised, giving them a slight appearance of decals or something of that sort. The weight is light. I don't want to give the impression that these are extremely cheap looking, they are nice enough, but a bit too expensive for the quality, in my opinion. They look pretty ordinary in person. Like something you'd regularly find at Walmart, not Williams-Sonoma. It's a matter of personal taste, but to me they are so-so.
