I bought FOUR boxes of new Corelle dishes. I bought two boxes of Noir and two boxes of City Block. This give me service for SIXTEEN. I think mixing the two sets of dishes will give my dining room a modern twist to an old classic. I grew up with corelle in burnt orange and/or celery green... In fact, when I go home to Brooklyn, my parents will still serve me coffee and a slice of pound cake on that same corelle set I ate froot loops out of as a child! My BRAND NEW Corelle dishes look funky and retro but the mixing of the two sets will make my table look hip and chic.

Check out these two patterns for yourself and I urge YOU to mix two sets for an edgier dining experience. I always have dinner guests with kids and the odds are pretty good the corelle will outlast energetic kids.

AND--if it doesn't the replacements are readily available and reasonably priced. I am thrilled to get rid of my heavy stoneware set to make way for my sleek-brand-spanking-new Corelle dishes!!! AND... Corelle is made in the USA... NOT China!!!
