We own about 3 dozen Portmeirion plates, bowls, cups, etc. We love them -- they are both pretty and sturdy.

This butter dish was pretty, but had a weird "fold" in the material near the top handle. It looked like either two pieces of material had been bonded together poorly, or had cracked underneath the glaze. We ended up sending it back.
