We received these as a gift when we got married. I added them to our registry because of the simple but pretty design. After using them for nearly a month, I find that they are perfect! They are sturdy (I have seen no scratches, but I am being careful just in case...except for the time I whacked one against a cabinet handle and got "that look" from my husband, but it was totally fine!). They are also pretty light for such a large plate. They are fairly flat with just a little bit of bevel to keep your food on the plate (in other words, they don't point forward as badly as some of our plates when put in their dishwasher slots, but they are our biggest plates by far). Speaking of the dishwasher, we've run them in it multiple times, and they are just as nice and shiny as when they arrived. They are AMAZING in the microwave--food sizzling, edges of the plate just as cool as when it went in.

My husband prefers deeper bowls, but he does not mind that these are a little shallow, because they are large enough that you don't need to fill them up. Perfect for a dinner salad!

Only complaint is that the mugs are bell-shaped, so liquid can spill easily if you are like me and like to fill up on coffee. Just don't swirl your drink and you'll be fine.

I saw someone ask about color, so a note on that--it is a darker cream, like parchment. Not lighter like bone china.
