I just received the 2 sets I ordered a few days ago. I am more than pleased. They are larger than the picture implies, which is what I hoped! The quality is very high and perfect for serving rice or a noodle soup. They each vary slightly, being hand-painted. I am ordering more sets today. I have seen these exact bowls for 32-40 dollars plus shipping on other sites. This is a good price for a high quality item. They are contemporary but ancient at the same time=classic. Subdued and functional. Nice wooden chop sticks accompany the bowls. They hold 500 ml or slightly over 2 cups of liquid, if filled right to the edge of the indentation for the chopsticks. You would want to fill the bowls with less but this gives you an idea of the container size. A very nice item.
