I love the fact that this butter dish is very understated. I like clean, simple styles and this fits the bill.

Also the fact that it can hold up to entire lb. of butter {4 quarters} at a time is defiantely a plus!
Most of the 'cutesy' butter dishes out there only only 1/4 lb., if you are lucky.

The "Fire King" brand made by Anchor Hocking has always been made in the U.S., until recently {?}...one of the reasons for me to choose this butter dish was because I thought the Anchor Hocking company still made their products here in the U.S...sadly, that's no longer true.
When I opened it up and took it out, what did I find staring at me?
Yep, you guessed it...that notorious "Made in China" sticker...

I just wanted to pass along this information in case anyone else out there takes this into consideration before making a purchase, like myself.
I didn't want you to go through the disappointment like I did.
